The Tampa Orchid Club gathered in May for our Annual Installation Meeting and Luncheon, a wonderful afternoon filled with fellowship, beautiful blooms, and a look back at another successful year of orchid growing and community.

During the meeting, we officially installed our newly elected Board of Directors and leadership team for the coming year. We thank all of our outgoing and incoming volunteers for their dedication and continued commitment to our club's mission of People Helping People Raise Orchids.
A Bloom Table Full of Beauty
Members brought an impressive 14 blooming plants for judging, creating a colorful and diverse display for everyone to enjoy.
The Judge's Choice Award was presented to Karen Lewis for her beautifully grown Encyclia alata.
This month's Member's Choice Award resulted in a tie between:
Paph. Raingreen's Little Freckles 'Wing Dream' grown by Julio Hector
C. dupreana 'Kodama' var. coerulea grown by Victoria Hewitt
Congratulations to all of our winners, and thank you to everyone who shared their blooming orchids with the club. We hope to see even more plants gracing the bloom table in the months ahead!
A Gift for the New Year
As a special thank you, every new and renewing member who attended and paid their dues for the upcoming year received a complimentary orchid to take home. Happy growing! We look forward to seeing some of those new additions making their debut on the bloom table in the future.

Looking Back on a Wonderful Year
Club Historian Betsy Schechter assembled a delightful collection of photographs highlighting the many programs, events, field trips, and activities that made the past year so memorable.

Thank you, Betsy, for preserving these special moments and capturing the spirit of our club.
Join Us in June!
We hope you'll join us for our June meeting, where Keith and Dina Emig of Winter Haven Orchid Nursery will present:
"Vandaceous Orchids Other Than Vandas"

Keith and Dina are accomplished growers, hybridizers, and registrants of orchids, having earned more than 45 American Orchid Society awards for their plants and original crosses. They are also the creators of their own registered genus, Emigara.
Their presentation promises to be both educational and inspiring, and they'll be bringing orchids along for purchase, so be sure to save room in your collection!
We look forward to seeing everyone at the next meeting and another exciting month of learning, growing, and sharing our love of orchids together.
