List of Potting Supplies Needed At USF Greenhouse

The USF Orchid Greenhouse is always in need of potting supplies, and we would love your help! If you have the resources and would like to support the greenhouse at USF, please consider donating any of the items listed below.

Donations are needed and welcome year around and would be so appreciated! Just simply bring any of the items you purchase from the supply list below to a Tampa Orchid Club meeting and we will make sure the supplies are delivered ASAP.

List of Supplies Needed:

• Isopropyl alcohol (quart or liter)

• Bottle of 409 spray cleaner

• Hydrogen peroxide (travel size — note: it loses effectiveness once opened)

• Palmolive dish soap

• Lemon juice

• Metal pot clips (any size, for both plastic and clay pots)

• Bamboo stakes (18" to 24")

• Black zip ties (for greenhouse needs and orchid mounting)

• Roll of gutter guard (used for mounting orchids)

• Coco fiber pot liners (like those used in hanging baskets — even old ones are great! We clean and reuse them for mounts)

• "Butterfly" clips (for supporting bloom stems)

• Small wooden-handle chip brushes

• Paper towels
